Gene is a lifelong resident of the Perkiomen Valley. He attended Schwenksville High School and is a graduate of Ursinus College where he received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 1987 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. First licensed in 1977, he has been an active REALTOR in the Western Montgomery County area since 1985. He specializes in residential real estate and also has a wealth of experience in land development and new construction. In 1997 he also started his own enterprise – Capitol Builders, Inc. – a successful company that specialized in land development and new construction both on tracts that he personally developed as well as on custom homes on lots owned by his customers. 

Since he makes his living here in Western Montgomery County, Gene has endeavored to be active in that community as well and from 1988 to 1998 was extremely active in local government. In 1991 he was elected to serve as a Borough Councilman for East Greenville and served in that capacity until 1998. As chairman of the Property Committee, he was intimately involved in the Borough’s acquisition of their new Borough Building on Main Street. He was the founding member and chairman of the East Greenville Main Street 2000 Committee which was tasked with developing plans for the revitalization of East Greenville’s business district – a dream that is now a reality. He was also the founding member and chairman of the Borough’s Open Space Committee and was involved in the acquisition of the Blaker Drive Community Park as well as other Open Space Preservation Projects in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. During his term on Borough Council he served as the Borough’s representative to the Upper Perkiomen Police Commission. 

Over the years he has done many real estate transactions – some small and some very large – but his most satisfying experiences have been working with first time homebuyers.
